It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Byron T. Rucker (Endicott, New York), who passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenelm Rucker and Willie Rucker of Ruckersville, Georgia; and his siblings, Kenelm, Elbert Rucker and Willena Rucker Blackstock.
He is survived by: his wife Rosa May Dudley of Chenango Bridge; his children, James A. Rucker, Kevin M. Rucker of Smyrna, Georgia and Melinda May Sowka; his son-in-law John Sowka, Jr. of Tavares, Florida; his sister-in-law Jerri Rucker; his nieces, Ginny Reed, Katherine Robinson, Kirsty Rucker and Karol Lunsford; his grandchildren, Samantha May Soule of Inverness, Florida, Caleb Rucker of Smyrna, Georgia and Stephen Rucker of Athens, Georgia; his great-nieces, Shayla and Katie; his great-nephew Jay; his great grandchildren, Greyson and Frankie May Soule; Michelle Rucker of Binghamton.
