He was predeceased by: his wife Pearlina Lewis; and his siblings, Vera Bell Grant, Cloe Ann Dixon, Louvenia Renshaw, Reverend Silas Lewis and Ward Lewis Jr..

He is survived by: his son Apostle William Powell; his grandchild Min; his great grandchildren, Nigel Minter Ford, Jeremiah Powell, Amaya Fulton, Charlie Powell, Trinity Hooker and Caleb Powell; his siblings, Benjamin Franklin Sr., John Bryant Lewis Sr., Douglas Mac Authur, Ester Mae Green Lee and Thomasina Worth; and his close friends, Tom and Dawn (Trudy). He is also survived by Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends.
