He was predeceased by: his parents, Blair Shaw and Jean Shaw; his wife Nancy; and his sister Cindy. He is survived by: his son Jason Edward Shaw (Emily Elizabeth Shaw); his grandson Copper Brown Shaw; and his sisters, Barbara, Betty, Peggy and Sue.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Southern Tier Land Conservancy, a local conservation nonprofit Ed encouraged his son to help co-found.
