He was predeceased by: his wife Christina Cannavino Butchko; his parents, Charles Butchko Sr. and Alice Butchko (Saxe); his brothers, John and Tom Butchko; and his son-in-law Mark Topencik.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald Butchko Jr. (Laura), Linda Topencik, Carla and Rebecca McManus (Kevin Sr.); his grandchildren, Josh, Lindsey, Christina Butchko, Nicole Riley (Zack), Kevin Jr., Taylor and Brooklyn McManus; his great grandchildren, Ava, Ella Butchko, Everett and Nolan Riley; his siblings, Charles (Georgianna), Jim (Beverly), Barbara and Katherine; and his friends, Keith and Pat Beddoe.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (701 W Main St, Endicott, NY 13760). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to either the Our Lady of Good Counsel Food Pantry, or the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad.
