She was predeceased by: her siblings, Joan Schmitten and John C. Walter Jr.; and her godson Benjamin Bishop. She is survived by: her nephew Andrew Joseph Bishop; her husband John C. McDermott; her children, Maggie Branch (McDermott), Mary C. McDermott, John C. McDermott Jr. (Carey Carpenter) and Beth Schappert (Borchers); her granddaughters, Anna C. Branch, Eliza C. Branch and Fiona G. McDermott; her sisters, Jean Bishop and Judy Shinkwin (Bill Shinkwin); her sister-in-law Joan Walter; and her godson John Walter III. She is also survived by her sisters, sister-in-law, daughters and daughter-in-law who she felt were her friends.
