He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Chermak and Mary Chermak; and his brothers, Edmund, Eugene, Thomas and Herman.
He is survived by: his wife Carole; his children, Peter (Marie), Patrick (Carolyn), Kimberly (Timothy) and Robert (Andrea); and his siblings, Ruth, Polly and Bruce. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
