He was predeceased by: his mother-in-law Pat Austin; and his nephew John. He is survived by: his wife Anne Austin of Endwell; his stepson James Crutcher; his father-in-law William Austin of Endwell; his brothers, Charles Simpson, James Simpson, John Simpson, Richard Simpson and Thomas William Simpson; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Austin and Richard Austin. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
