If there was anything he could do, be it encouragement, help with studies or just taking time to throw a football around, he was always there. Things that he taught me, either in the classroom, track practice or by example, have stayed with me throughout life. Years later, I had the honor and privilege to be his cardiologist. Rest in peace! Life well lived!!”
