He was predeceased by : his parents, Martin Basler and Frida Basler; and his brothers, James "Butch" Basler and Charles "Chuck" Basler. He is survived by : his wife Geraldine Basler of Esopus; his son James of Esopus; and his siblings, Hank Basler, Glenn Baler, Dan Basler, Toni Holt, Margo Simpson-Basler and Marilyn Fisher. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
