He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn; his parents, Donald Gifford and Thelma Gifford; his brother Donald Gifford; and his grandson Justin Dettman.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Marilyn Gifford; his niece Denise Dettman (Don); and his nephews, John and Dennis (Janet). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have donations be placed in Dennis's name to the Pluta Cancer Center in Rochester NY or a Tree in his Honor at Yellowstone National Park.
