We are sad to announce that on October 3, 2025, Gary VanDeVoorde of Fairport, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Gary farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gary is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Jean; his son David; his daughter-in-law Julie; and his grandchildren, Natalie, Nathan and Jake. He was also cherished by nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Keenan Funeral Home (7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd, Fairport, NY 14450). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the White Haven Memorial Park All Seasons Chapel (210 Marsh Rd, Pittsford, NY 14534).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Golisano Children's Hospital in Gary's memory.
