He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Bell Slye and Floyd Slye; his siblings, Evelyn Scee, Eleanor Slye, Floyd Slye and Gerald Slye; and his grandparents, Flora Brown Cook, Charles Cook, Bernard Slye and Laura Pettit.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gaudioso Slye; his sons, Gregory Joseph Slye (Erin) and Jeffrey Scott Slye (Judy); his sisters, Marlene Bartlett (Stanley) and Marilyn Quigley; his sisters-in-law, Doris Slye and Evelyn Slye; his grandchildren, Kiera Slye Liu (Frank), Corey Slye (Jessie), Kailey Slye Liddic (Ben), Hannah Slye, Sarah Slye, Corporal Colin Slye, Abby McLean and Colin McLean; and his great grandchildren, Wilhelmina Liu, Charles Liu and Eliana Liddic. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Penfield (1862 Penfield Rd, Penfield, NY 14526). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Fellowship Hall (2164 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd, Fairport, NY 14450).
