She was predeceased by: her parents, Chelous Edson (Charles) and Mabel Johnson Edson (Johnson); her husband Norman F. Sprague; and her sisters, Marjorie Sample, Mildred Rentz and Marcella Cortner.
She is survived by: her children, Elaine Smith (Kenneth) of Stamford, NY and Dean Sprague (Rebecca) of Falconer; her grandchildren, Michael Smith of Stamford, NY, Elizabeth Smith Patterson (Aaron) of Kintnersville, PA, Amelia Sprague of Falconer and Josiah Sprague of Falconer; and her great grandchildren, Elliot James Patterson of Kintnersville, PA. and Emmett Henry Patterson of Kintnersville, PA..
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Opal's memory to Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care, Falconer Public Library, Chautauqua County 4-H.
