With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Gormley (Far Rockaway, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2026 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret and Michael Hassett of Coolnahorna; her siblings, Margaret Kelly, Mary Boyd, Denis and Eamon Hassett; and her niece Ursula Snedker.
She is survived by: her husband Herbert Joseph Gormley; her sons, Kenneth (Vanessa) and Michael (Brenna); and her siblings, Eileen Sullivan, Bernie Powers, Kay Murphy and Michael Hassett.
