It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Michael Herbert (Far Rockaway, New York), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Herbert; his parents, John Herbert and Veronica Herbert; and his brothers, John, James and Jason Herbert.
He is survived by: his daughter Kristin; his son-in-law Christopher; his granddaughter Mia Veronica; and his siblings, Veronica Dineen (Ray), Marian Herbert (Eddie), Jeffrey Herbert (Irene) and Joel Herbert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Denis'. O'Connor Inc. (91-05 Beach Channel Dr, Far Rockaway, NY 11693). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Church (129-16 Rockaway Beach Blvd, Belle Harbor, NY 11694). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (361 Sharrott Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309).
