He was predeceased by: his uncle Tokutataro; and his parents, Idnujiro Ishikawa and Constance Ishikawa. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ishikawa of Farmingdale; his children, Kev (Mickey), Cate (Danos) and Joseph (Eileen); his sister Kyoko Honey Frazier; his brother-in-law John Kossman (Marie Kossman); his granddaughter Rachel Rose Lawrence (Daniel Lawrence); his great grandchild Noa Rose Lawrence; his former wife Dedrie Ann Watson; and his siblings, Kazutami, Mitzuki, Renko Barnes and Kikue Ishikawa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues, and lifelong friends.
