He was predeceased by: his parents, Adrian DeJaeger and Selina Rueben DeJaeger; his former wife Laura Aldrich DeJaeger; and his sisters, Marylou Syracuse and Rosemary DeJaeger.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce DeJaeger; his children, Edward DeJaeger Jr. (Deb), Thomas DeJaeger (Judy) and Carrie Ellen Carra (Dave); and his stepchildren, Gary Everdyke (Shelly), Barb Everdyke (Kevin) and David Everdyke (Gay). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
