With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fred James Greenfield of Fayetteville, New York, born in Canisteo, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 11, 2025 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy and Harriet; his brother Paul; his son Todd; and his granddaughter Mary VanDyke.
He is survived by: his wife Patty; his children, Brian (Mandy), Corey (Deirdre), Katie VanDyke (Greg) and Jill Bond (Chris Meeks); and his siblings, David (Kathy), Mary Cotton (Carl), Joseph (Cheryl), Debbie Chase, Mark (Christina) and Vivian. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pompey Community Church (2555 Berwyn Rd, Lafayette, NY 13084). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
