He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Byrnes and Frances K. Byrnes. He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Tim (Sarah Campbell), Erin Byrnes-Hammond (Jeff) and Ted (Eilis); his stepsons, Matt MacDerment (Stephanie) and Tim MacDerment (Jennifer); his foster son Rafi Majnonian (Tracy); and his grandchildren, Ryan, Amanda, Emily, Brooke, Trevor, Allie, Kenadie, Garrett, Brind'Amour, Miller, Eulalia, Gregory and Amelia.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church (400 Salt Springs St, Fayetteville, NY 13066). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fayetteville Fire Department, 425 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville, NY 13066.
