He was predeceased by: his parents, Peteris Zarins and Vera Zarins. He is survived by: his wife Susanne; his son Peter Karl (Jennifer); his sister Daina Ewton; his grandchildren, Chloe and Gavin Zarins; and his nieces, Andra and Cinda Ewton. He is also survived by dogs and by family, friends.
