He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold W. Hutchens and Genevieve Barnes Hutchens; and his wife Caryl Bruns. He is survived by: his children, William D. Hutchens Jr. (Tracy) of Concord, NH and Nancy H. Reif (Stephen) of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Caroline Hutchens, John Hutchens (Michelle), Scott Hutchens (Anysia), Katie Hutchens (Evan), Teddy Cohen, Andy Cohen and Genny Moore (Brett); his great grandchildren, Jaden Mayo, Mackenzie Hutchens, Jackson Hutchens, Logan Hayes and Lyla McCarthy; his stepgrandchildren, Hunter and Parker Taylor; his nephews, Jerry and Jimmy Silvey; and his caregivers, Annette, Christine, Fay, Genny, Julie, Lateisha, Rachel, Sophia, Tiffany, Robert Cupelo, Erika Hegland and Trinity.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel (7191 E Genesee St, Fayetteville, NY 13066). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Episcopal Church (106 Chapel St, Fayetteville, NY 13066).
