We announce the death of Zigurd L. Suritis of Fayetteville, New York, who passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonhards and Olga (Dravants); his wife Vija (Zalais); and his sister Amanda. He is survived by: his son Robert; his daughter-in-law Liga; his grandchildren, Kristine and Edgar; his great grandchild Anita Anderson; his son-in-law Rich Anderson; and his granddaughters-in-law, Alexandra and Kaitlin. He is also survived by extended family, friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Open House Anderson Home (2640 NY 174, Marietta, NY 13110). The inurnment will be held on Sunday, May 30th 2027 at the Latvian Memorial Park Cemetery (414 Bloomer Rd, Tannersville, NY 12485). A burial will be held on Sunday, May 30th 2027 at the same location.
