She was predeceased by : her parents, Albert W. Nelson III and Anna Nelson (Topaceski); and her son Glenn A. Sayres. She is survived by : her husband Joe; her children, Carol Gray of Cold Spring and Gregg Sayres of Cold Spring; her grandchildren, Joseph, Jason, Anna Gray, Shaun, Ryan, Amanda and Amber Sayres; and her great grandchildren, Ryan, Lucas, Logan, Gabriel, Brianna, Harper and Hannah. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill (1089 Main St, Fishkill, NY 12524). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hillside Cemetery (1033 Oregon Rd, Cortlandt, NY 10567).
