She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilda Murphy and Harry E. Vinall II; her husband Ronald Berger; and her siblings, Harry E. Vinall III and Sara Shea.

She is survived by: her son James Brockway (Debra); her granddaughters, Stephanie Brockway and Sara Norton (Dennis); and her great grandchildren, Lily and Alice Norton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, a great-niece, and a great-nephew.
