He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Istvan and Barbara Istvan (Chillo); and his nephews, Billy Goebel and Randy Velilla, III. He is survived by: his significant other Beverly; his children, Dr. Michael A. Istvan Jr. and Elizabeth Higgins; his grandson Michael A. Istvan, III; his siblings, Barbara Goebel (William), John Istvan, Joe Istvan, Darlene Joyce, Larry Istvan and Carmine Istvan (Lisa); and his sister-in-law Dorothy Jones. He is also survived by many other relatives & friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill (1089 Main St, Fishkill, NY 12524). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Joachim Cemetery (325 Washington Ave, Beacon, NY 12508).
