“I knew Mr. DeFalco (Joe) when I worked in Sporting Goods at the old Times Square Store at Levittown, Long Island in the summer of 1971. At the time, Joe was a TSS corporate executive for hunting & shooting sports and public relations, and he would stop at the store regularly to look things over. I mentioned to him once that I was considering dropping out of college to make retailing my permanent career. But thanks to Joe’s advice, I left the store and completed my schooling. Thank you, Joe.”
