The family announces the passing of Jimmie Chin of Flushing, New York. Jimmie, born on November 7, 1933 in Chinatown, New York, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Chin and Helen Ng; his sisters, Doris Eng and Nancy Leong; his daughter Sheri Chin; and his granddaughter Renee Chin.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Chin; his son Darin (Nancy Chin); his son-in-law Gordon Ng; and his grandchildren, Alexandra Ng, Marcus Ng, Catherine Chin and Rebecca Chin.
Visitation was held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home (506 Lakeville Rd, New Hyde Park, NY 11040). A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
