It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John D. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathryn Papageorgiou; his children, Jimmy Papageorgiou (Eleni) and Anna Drimalitis (Dimitrios); and his grandchildren, Vasili Drimalitis (Mariann), Themia Papageorgiou (Jonathan) and Yianni Papageorgiou.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (196-10 Northern Blvd, Flushing, NY 11358). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Nicholas Go Shrine.
