He was predeceased by: his wife Caroline. He is survived by: his sons, John and Ken; his daughter-in-law Elsa; his niece Jo Ellen Feltham; and his nephew Bob Cassens (Helen Dawson).

He not only gave of his time but also his money donating to many charities especially veterans causes.
