He was predeceased by: his parents, Giovanni Gambuzza and Maria Gambuzza. He is survived by: his wife Giovanna Amato; his daughters, Maria Mazzotta (John) and Caterina Hertler (Christopher); his grandchildren, Jessica (Paul), Stefanie (Brendan) and Alexander; his great grandchild Elena; and his sister Angelina Adamo. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
