It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cynthia Balanza (Forest Hills, New York), who passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Cynthia may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maximino Villamaria and Milagros Villamaria. She is survived by: her children, Vernon Balanza and Hannah Balanza Strauss; and her son-in-law Steve Strauss.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc. (98-07 Ascan Ave, Forest Hills, NY 11375). A burial was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St. John's Cemetery (80-01 Metropolitan Ave, Middle Village, NY 11379).
