He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Robert and Margaret Connell; his former wife Susan Connell; his daughter Elizabeth Connell; and his granddaughter Amelia Espinosa.
He is survived by: his wife Sharron Connell; his children, E. R. Connell (Dawn), Michael Connell (Amy Demchak-Connell), James Connell (Susan Hua-Connell) and Kathryn Connell-Espinosa (Joseph Espinosa); and his stepchildren, Cathleen Heffernan-Blasch (Mark Blasch), James P. Heffernan, Heather R. Heffernan, Sheila Migliarino (Maurice) and Thomas Heffernan (Kristin). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eugene's memory to the Community Hospice Foundation, honoring his many years of compassionate service as a hospice volunteer.
