He is survived by: his mother Margaret Van Ness; his sons, Thomas Van Ness and Justin Van Ness (Jewels); his stepchildren, A. J. Van Ness and Kameron Phelps; his siblings, Edward Van Ness (Stella), Arthur Van Ness (Diana), James Van Ness (Judith), Steven Van Ness (Lisa), Timothy Van Ness, Margaret Quirk, Linda Dugan, Janet LaFay (Kenneth), Virginia Whiting, Gail Wittmer and Laurie Havens (Mark); his grandson Wesley Van Ness; and his former wife Sheri.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 114 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.
