He was predeceased by: his parents, S. Francis Smith and Caroline Smith; his brothers, Frank, Philip, Thomas and Michael; his siblings-in-law, Marylou Smith, Carol Cacicedo and David Skinner; and his nephew Mark Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his daughters, Kimberly Simmons (Michael), Deborah Staulters (Lee) and Jennifer Smith; his grandchildren, Erin Smith, Ian Simmons, Kelsi, Joshua Staulters, Briana Markert (Jeremy) and Ashley Markert; his great grandchildren, Aliliana, Jeremy and MaKenna Litchfield; and his siblings, Richard Smith (Kathleen), Diane Peck and Linda Luzinas (Tony).
