We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2026, at the age of 87, Lydia C. Smith (Fort Plain, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Lydia is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lincoln Fralick, Sr. and Elizabeth Ballard Fralick; her husband Olin E. Smith, Sr.; and her sons, Olin E. Smith, Jr. and Scott Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Gary (Meredith Smith) and Julie Smith (Rodney Folts, Sr.). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ames-Sprout Brook United Methodist Church, 613 Latimer Hill Rd., Ames, NY 13317-3718.
