He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray K. Lewis and Georgie A. Plaster Lewis; his son Dwayne Lewis; and his siblings, Ernest Lewis, Keller Lewis and Edna May Voght.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Chase (Dave), Teresa Jones (Dan Gray), Angela Lewis (Harold Gray) and Walter Lewis, Jr. (Rebecca); and his siblings, Jack and Florence Ambridge. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his best friend and companion.
