Ruth K. Mather Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth K. Mather (Frankfort, New York), born in Rome, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ruth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Kaelin and Theresa Kaelin (Bussey); her husband Forrest B. Mather; her children, Cynthia Lou Mather, Bonnie Holmes, Susan McDonell and Richard; her siblings, Lucille Brehme, Elanor Jones and Albert Kaelin; and her former husband Richard K. Holmes.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Frankfort United Methodist Church (4224 Acme Rd, Frankfort, NY 13340).
