The passing of Ann Rode of Franklin Square, New York leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 24, 2025 at the age of 83. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Valentine Capuder and Agnes Capuder; her husband Vinny; and her siblings, Wally, Agnes, Max and Charlie.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Marie Rode, Vinny Rode (Marie), Cathy McHugh (Vincent), Susan Rode, Mary Rode (Paul) and David Rode; her grandchildren, Christine (Kara), Jerica, Liam (Nicole), Anthony (Delaney), Hugh, Aidan, Zach, Katie and Susan (Nick); and her great grandchild Atlas. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, extended family, and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Krauss Funeral Home (1097 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square, NY 11010). A rosary was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 7:30 AM at the Center of Ann's Life — She Prayed. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Catherine of Sienna R. C. Church (990 Holzheimer St, Franklin Square, NY 11010). A burial was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
