He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Everts (Barney) and Arlie Hartman Everts; his siblings, Marlene Clester Love (Everts), Nancy Neamon (Everts) and Kim Evert; and his half-brothers, Richard Schlining and Ovy Schlining.
He is survived by: his wife Penny Smith; his children, Michael Everts, Kenny Everts and Christina Rickman (Hopkins); and his sisters, Carolyn Tucker (Everts) and Linda Everts. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
