He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinhold Kottwitz and Adeline Struble Kottwitz; his son Mark; and his siblings, Earl Kottwitz and Sylvia Hagen.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice of Franklinville; his sons, Chad Kottwitz (Venus) of Snellville, GA and Stephen Kottwitz of Eugene, OR; his grandchildren, Noah, Emma and Bella; and his brother Dave Kottwitz (Barb). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
