He was predeceased by: his father George H. Gens; his grandparents, Henry, Lena Gens (Raymond), Ray and Arlie Bull (Cave); and his close friend David Lewandowski.
He is survived by: his mother Maxine Gens (Bull) of Erie, PA; his siblings, Karen Jakiel (Bruce) and Brian Gens (Steven Wing); his nephew Sean Schellhammer (Christina Reinhardt); his nieces, Kimberly Webb (Scott) and Stephanie Hermes; his great-nephew Jackson Webb; his great-nieces, Madison Jakiel Kulesza and Emma Hermes; and his sister Cindy Coniglio.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Larson-Timko Funeral Home (20 Central Ave, Fredonia, NY 14063). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fredonia Methodist Church (25 Church St, Fredonia, NY 14063).
Memorial contributions in David's memory may be made to The Resource Center or Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care.
