He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Covert and Goldie Covert (Robinson); and his brothers, Mike and Bud Covert. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Covert (Gertis); his children, Jason Batt of Harker Heights, TX, Cindy Becker (John) of Yorkshire, Jeremy Batt (Lauren) of Fountain Inn, SC and Josh Batt (Samara) of Simpsonville, SC; his siblings, Shirley Elliott (Dick), Darlene Desqutell and David Covert (Yuette) of Gowanda; his sisters-in-law, Alice Covert of Gowanda and Beth Covert of Cottage, NY; and also Marlene Texter (Dan) of Ellington, NY. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
