He was predeceased by: his father Harry William Matthews Jr. Todd; and his brother William Allan Matthews. He is survived by: his mother Evalena Joan Gates; his daughter Megan; his granddaughters, Isabella and Mia; and his siblings, Debbie, Cindy (George), Bev (Pete) and Tim (Bobbie Jo).

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jewett Presbyterian Church (53 Church St, Jewett, NY 12444). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
