We announce the death of Maria Carmen Rodriguez of Freeport, New York, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 86. Maria will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Maria’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband Felix; her son Miguel; her granddaughter Alexis; and her parents, Florentino Quiroz and Maria Almonte.
She is survived by: her children, German, Dora, Raphael, Mercedes and Magdalena. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren; and her six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Macken Mortuary (52 Clinton Ave, Rockville Centre, NY 11570). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre (29 Quealy Pl, Rockville Centre, NY 11570). A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Greenfield Cemetery (650 Nassau Rd, Uniondale, NY 11553).
