Ken Rodell wrote a sympathy message

“Steven Lewis, aka “Lewie”. Photo taken in the Fall of 1968. Cunningham Park, Queens. About twenty or so of us “Regal House” Queens College guys were scrimmaging for football intramurals. Lewie was my favorite receiver. Maybe not the fastest, but definitely the best hands and the shiftiest. I was quarterback. Several of us thought the photo captured him well and showed how he possibly might of wanted to be remembered. Rest well, old friend.”
