He is survived by: his wife Lynda Sorman Johnson; his children, Britta Mayer (Cameron) of Arlington, VA, Irik Johnson of Alexandria, VA, Kidda Johnson of Ashville, NY and Torrey Johnson of Buffalo, NY; his grandchildren, Elin, Anders and Eva Mayer; and his sisters, Cynthia Sturke (Phil), Bethany Johnson (JoAnne) and Pamela Sherman (Bob). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
