He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward F. Simmons and Myrtle Jane Fields Simmons; and his siblings, James Simmons and Doris Paluch. He is survived by: his wife Sharon L. Chapman; his children, Edward J. Simmons (Sonia) of Allen, Lawrence J. Simmons of Fillmore, Elizabeth J. Simmons of Arcade, Erin L. Simmons of Fillmore and Brandi M. Cardenas (Joshua) of Clarksville, TN; and his siblings, Charles E. Simmons of Angelica, Margaret Higley of Allegany, Susan Barnes (James) of Cuba, Lois Koczian and Marilyn Bunk (Mike) of Cuba. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
