He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hemstreet and Kathryn Brownell Hemstreet; and his siblings, Robert and Eleanor (Dan). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Campchero Hemstreet; his daughters, Pamela, Marcia (Bruce), Sandra (Justin) and Kathryn; his siblings, John (Sally), Harvey (Donna), Joan (David) and Mary Lou (Jerry); his sister-in-law Julie; his grandsons, Paul and Patrick; his siblings-in-law, Bob (Cathleen), Nancy and Beth (Fred); and his godchildren, Rob and Kathy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
