He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Florence Nelson (Orsini) and Charles Nelson; his children, Robert Nelson, Jr. of Mattituck, Traci Nelson of Fultonham and Kandi Borst of West Fulton; his stepchildren, Gary Bevins, Melissa Gorton, Glenn Salisbury, Stephen Salisbury, Tina Parks, Christina Salisbury, Jeffrey Blythe and Michael Jones; his pet Jeanette Jones of Breakabeen; his grandchildren, Rudy Allen, Tasha Hillmeyer, Jessica Swift, Melinda Fisher, Adaline Engle, Matthew Engle, Kole Borst, Roscoe Borst, Pauline Nelson, Justine Nelson, Ashley Benson, Jessica Benson and McKenna Jones; and his siblings, Addie Nelson, William "Bill" Nelson, Donald Nelson (Nancy) and Ernest Nelson (Larry). He was also cherished by many other great-grandchildren.
