She was predeceased by: her father Robert M. Shearing; and her grandparents, Harry, Cora Higgins, Donald and Elsa Shearing.
She is survived by: her mother Sally Higgins Shearing; her husband Timothy F. McDowell; her brother Gregory C. Shearing of Gainesville; her aunt Nancy Higgins Wilson (James); her uncle Charles Higgins (Emily); and her cousins, Matt Higgins and Melissa Higgins.
